Rebecca Gordon leads consulting division of CRU
Professional services firm CRU has installed Rebecca Gordon as the leader of its consulting division. As CEO of CRU Consulting, Gordon will also become a member of the Executive Committee for CRU Group.
Founded in 1969, CRU is a global professional services network, which offers business intelligence to the global metals, mining and fertiliser industries through market analysis, price assessments, consultancy and events. Over the last 50 years, the firm has developed teams in key locations worldwide, employing over 250 experts throughout over 10 offices in Europe, the Americas, China, Asia and Australia.
As the firm looks to strengthen its advisory arm for the coming decade, it has appointed a new CEO for CRU Consulting. Rebecca Gordon brings more than 20 years of experience to the role, having first joined the consultancy in 1998. Thanking well-wishers on her personal LinkedIn profile, Gordon said she was “looking forward to the challenge and working with the great CRU team around the world.”
Having risen to the rank of Senior Consultant, Gordon took a hiatus at CRU to complete a Master of Business Administration in Management from the IMD Business School. On her return to CRU in 2004, Gordon took up the role of Managing Consultant, ascending to Divisional Director in April 2019. Gordon's promotion to head of the consulting division will also see her join the Executive Committee of CRU Group.
David Trafford, Chief Executive Officer of the CRU Group, said of the news, “Rebecca has a deep knowledge and understanding of CRU and its customers, so I'm delighted that she will now be leading our Consulting business. I am also pleased that she has joined the CRU Group Executive Leadership team where her history with the business provides continuity and insights.”
