Hans Pung new president of economic firm Rand

Hans Pung has been appointed as the new president of RAND Europe. He takes over from Jonathan Grant, who will remain at the economic advisory firm and works as a researcher on consulting projects.

Pung joined RAND Europe in 2002 and has held a number of leadership positions within the organization. He most recently was Vice President of RAND Europe and was head of the R&D department. Before that Pung had oversight of RAND Europe's communication activities, as well as leading its defense and security research program.

"I am delighted to have the opportunity to build on our track record. We will maintain commitment and improve European policymaking through research and analysis" according to Pung.
