Amid the continuing trend of digitalisation and the building of ‘smart companies,’ Saltare Consulting has been wholly acquired by Acrotrend Solutions. The move strengthens Acrotrend’s holistic business intelligence services.

Founded in 2010, Saltare Consulting provides specialised business intelligence and information management consultancy services that help organisations draw up strategies by analysing the way that they work. Saltare has helped enterprise clients across various sectors derive tangible value from their investment in technology.

Acrotrend Solutions is a full-service customer analytics consultancy specialising in data science and artificial intelligence for blue chip companies around the world. Established in 2007, the company has delivered over 250 engagements in several industry verticals including high-profile clients such as UMB, Reed Exhibitions, Gilead, BNP Paribas, GlaxoSmithKline, Nuffield Health, and Cancer Research UK.

Since 2012, the two companies have worked together in partnership, delivering data-driven insights and actions that empower businesses to achieve their goals. Building on this long-standing relationship, Acrotend has now completed the acquisition of Saltare, with the merger taking place in August 2019. The combination of the two firms aims to bring a unique, holistic offering to the market.

Commenting on the news, Saltare CEO and Founder Phil Husband said, “We believe that combining our experience with that of the incredible Acrotrend team is the natural next step for both consultancies, particularly as our overall goals, mission and vision is ultimately the same… allowing our clients to further leverage the necessary, comprehensive services they need for business transformation.”

Acrotrend’s acquisition of Saltare comes as many industries are digitalising; a move which is rapidly increasing the need for organisations to fully understand the power of business intelligence. Saltare’s business intelligence, data strategy and business change capabilities will complement Acrotrend's deep expertise in customer analytics technology enablement, allowing the organisation to tap into this demand.

Shailesh Mallya, Acrotend Tech Leader and Co-Founder, commented, “The acquisition gives us an edge in the market. It helps expand our BI and Strategy expertise, effectively closing the loop – strategy, technology and business change.”
