Accenture acquires PacificLink to bolster digital offering
Accenture Interactive has acquired PacificLink Group, whose subsidiaries operate marketing platforms directed at both the digital as well as the physical market in the Greater China region. The acquisition provides Accenture with a larger footprint in the region, providing the capabilities to service local client demand as well as further expanding its global influence. The value of the deal has not been disclosed.
PacificLink Group consists of a number of organisations located in Hong Kong, including PacificLink iMedia, Pixo Punch, LemonXL, AvantBiz Consulting and DMA Solutions. PacificLink was founded in 1998 and current employs 240 professionals across the various businesses. PacificLink is primarily interested in marketing, with the Group delivering work through an integrated set of connected marketing solutions platforms for both online and offline branding. The company has won 70 awards in recent years, this year taking home twelve Markies Awards and six Internet Advertising Competition awards.
The deal between the PacificLink Group and Accenture, will see Accenture significantly increase its presence in Greater China market. The acquisition providing a significant boost to Accenture Interactive’s digital marketing and commerce capabilities. The move is said to also provide a strategic advantage to Accenture, allowing the firm to scale its wider business in the region, as well as service the growing digital demand of regional clients.
With the addition of the subsidiaries, the capabilities added to Accenture Interactive's current regional powers include: services for design and usability, technology development, digital marketing, digital strategy and e-commerce, delivered to multinational corporations, financial services companies, property developers, retailers, telecommunications companies, and public sector organisations. With the wide combination of services, the consultancy hopes to create a set of end-to-end services to brands and organisations in the Greater China region.
