Cluttons builds outer London agency focus with two new hires
Property consultancy Cluttons has bolstered its Reading team with the appointment of a new Partner and a new Associate. Peter Freeman and Natasha Ryan will focus on developing Cluttons’ business in the Thames Valley and M4 Corridor.
Employing over 250 staff, Cluttons has a fast-growing international presence, serving a wide range of corporate clients in over 50 countries across Europe. The firm partners corporates, developers and private investors across the region to supply portfolio management, funding advice, land sale work, property valuation and home letting, among other services.
As the firm prepares for a busy final quarter of 2019, the property consultancy has appointed two new members to its outer London agency. Peter Freeman arrives as a Partner, while Natasha Ryan joins as an Associate. They will focus on developing Cluttons’ business in the Thames Valley and M4 Corridor, a core component of its ambitious growth strategy, both working out of Cluttons’ Reading office.
Peter Freeman brings almost three decades of experience to his new role, and has worked for funds, property companies and financial institutions with clients including L&G, Blackrock, RLAM, and Aberdeen Standard. He commenced his career at De Souza in 1990, becoming a Director before moving to Vail Williams in 2005. Over the course of his nine-year stay there, he became Partner, before spending the last five years with Altus Group as a Senior Director. He is also the Chairman of the Industrial Agents Society, which represents the interests of the sector across the UK.
Commenting on his new role, Freeman said, “Cluttons is a very well-respected and established brand and known for providing clients with excellent advice. The industrials sector is particularly strong now and I am looking forward to joining the team and establishing the business as the go-to expert in the region.”
Natasha Ryan is a Chartered Surveyor, and deals with both acquisitions and disposals in the office and industrial sectors. Also joining from Altus Group, where she spent the last nine years and was most recently an Associate Director, Ryan specialises in the M25 West market, having worked with clients including Columbia Threadneedle, LaSalle and IPIF. She holds a degree in Planning & Property Development from Nottingham Trent University.
Ryan commented, “I am looking forward to using my office and industrials expertise to help Cluttons grow this important market. It is great to be part of a business with a clear strategy and focus on growth.”
Cluttons’ commercial agency has a long track record of advising clients on acquisitions and disposals. The team advises public, private and charity sector clients on the development potential of their property portfolios and the investment management team helps clients identify assets for acquisition or sale, with a view to maximising returns.
Remarking on the double arrival in the wing, James Gray, Managing Partner of Cluttons, said, “Peter and Natasha’s appointments mean that we can offer enhanced occupational advice to our existing and new clients. We are looking to capitalise on the M4 corridor between Hammersmith and Newbury, building on the work already undertaken by our Reading and London offices. This expansion is a key element of our overall growth plans.”
