Baker Tilly names Gareth Harris Restructuring Partner

Gareth Harris has been appointed to lead Baker Tilly’s Restructuring and Recovery practice in the Yorkshire region. Harris brings 15 years of restructuring experience to the firm, having previously worked for KPMG and PwC among others.

Gareth Harris started his professional career at PwC, where, during his seven years at the firm, he became a Manager. In 2007 Harris joined the National Australia Bank becoming an Executive in leveraged distressed lending. Two years later, Harris moved to KPMG, becoming the Director of the firm’s Restructuring practice in the UK. In this role, Harris provided restructuring advice to lenders and corporate clients in stressed or distressed financial positions. 

Harris holds a BA in Politics from the University of York.

As a Partner in Baker Tilly’s Restructuring and Recovery practice, Harris will be deployed at the firm’s mid-market restructuring and advisory offering in the Yorkshire region. His new role will see him lead the firm’s Professional Services Group for the region. “Gareth's appointment is an exciting further step in the growth and development of our Restructuring and Recovery practice and I am sure that his experience and credentials will further enhance our advisory offering to our clients and corporates in Yorkshire and the North East,” comments , Adrian Allen, Baker Tilly’s Head of Restructuring and Recovery for the North East and Scotland.
