Joanna Tsai re-joins CRA as VP Antitrust & Competition

Joanna Tsai has returned to Charles River Associates as a vice president in the firm’s Antitrust & Competition Economics Practice in Washington, DC. She brings with her extensive knowledge of industrial organisation, intellectual property, and law and economics to the firm.

Joanna Tsai re-joins Charles River Associates (CRA) after two years at the Federal Trade Commission, having worked as Economic Advisor to Commissioner Joshua Wright between 2013 and 2015. Her previous function at CRA was that of Principal in the Antitrust & Competition Economics Practice, a role she fulfilled between 2011 and 2013. In 2012, Tsai also became the Vice Chair of the Economics Committee at the American Bar Association Section of Antitrust Law, a role she still fulfils. Prior to joining CRA, Tsai worked in Puerto Rico for almost three years for the Puerto Rico Industrial Development Company as Director at the Office of Strategic Planning and Economic Analysis. Other roles held by Tsai include that of Vice President for FTI Consulting/Compass Lexecon, where she worked for almost 6 years, and that of Economist at Economic Analysis.

Joanna Tsai holds a Bachelor in Economics from the University of California, Irvine and a Master’s degree and Ph.D. in Economics from Cornell University.
