Andie Chivers Goudie has joined specialist financial services consultancy Catalyst Development as HR Director. Her appointment comes as Catalyst looks to strengthen the firm’s HR function, amid a period of rapid growth in both revenue and headcount.

Established in 1994 and headquartered in the City of London, Catalyst Development is fast becoming the leading independent specialist consulting firm working exclusively in financial services. Catalyst specialises in risk, regulation, operations, technology, asset and wealth management, organisational and talent development, working from bases in Jersey, Lithuania and Japan. Between April 2017 and March 2018, Catalyst substantially grew its investment base, services, markets, clients, staff and profitability. By the end of April 2018, the firm had tripled the headcount of its London office to 100 staff members in order to meet this booming demand.

Catalyst continued to expand earlier in the year with the appointment of Didier Faure as CFO. The former AlixPartners professional was installed to oversee the firm’s finances amid a period of extended growth, as the financial services consultancy looked to make the most of a growth investment in the form of a management buyout backed by private equity investor Livingbridge. Now, Catalyst has announced the appointment of Andie Chivers Goudie as HR Director.

Prior to joining Catalyst, Chivers Goudie developed a broad and thorough knowledge of human resources practices within the financial services sector. She has held senior roles in human resources, M&A and project management for over 20 years. Most recently, this saw her working at Equiniti for nearly 3 years, initially as Head of HR and more recently as HR Business Partnering Director, where she had responsibility for HR Business Partnering, M&A activity/associated integrations, and employee relations. Before her time with Equiniti, Chivers Goudie also worked at State Street, Barclays, BMO and Citi holding various senior roles in HR, Project Management and Transformation.

Commenting on the new hire, Andrew Middleton, CEO of Catalyst said, “Catalyst is growing fast, but our people are still our priority. I’m delighted to announce that Andie is joining us as HRD, to help us strengthen our expanding company. I’m sure she’ll endeavour to support our staff and continue nurturing our talent pool.”

Andie Chivers Goudie herself added, “I am so pleased to be joining a firm like Catalyst, which has such a family feel and focus. The fact that Catalyst was ranked as top 50 in this year’s Great Place to Work survey is a testament to the firm’s values and commitment to its staff.”
