KPMG boosts its Healthcare Corporate Finance team
Professional services firm KPMG has strengthened its Healthcare Corporate Finance team with the appointment of Sebastian Habibi, former Deputy Director for the Department of Health, as Director. In his new role, Habibi will work closely with healthcare Commissioners and providers, helping them address issues that arise when adopting new models of care.
Sebastian Habibi brings extensive experience in healthcare finance, gained during his career at the Department of Health, to his new role in KPMG’s Healthcare Corporate Finance team. As Director, he will lead on the commercial and contractual issues which healthcare Commissioners and providers need to address to make new models of care work. “Sebastian has in-depth knowledge of the NHS and will be aiding Commissioners with commercial issues, and helping NHS Hospital Trusts to respond to tenders from Commissioners,” comments Andrew Hine, Head of Healthcare at KPMG UK.
Habibi adds: “I am looking forward to joining the KPMG Healthcare Corporate Finance team to help organisations make effective use of the commercial tools available to develop new service models, accountable care organisations and in integrating health and social care.”
Habibi has worked for the Department of Health for 15 years, joining in 2000. Most recently he fulfilled the role of Deputy Director of Social Care Strategic Policy & Finance, a role he held for more than 2 years, and prior to this of Deputy Director leading national policy on procurement, contracting and payment by results in the NHS.
