Capita Healthcare Decisions partners up with Medibank

The Healthcare Decisions practice of Capita has signed a partnership with healthcare company Medibank to deliver safe, consistent health advice for Australians and New Zealanders. As part of the agreement, Capita will provide Medibank with its content set, tailored for the Australian market, allowing the company to offer localised medical advice.

Medibank is an in 1976 established Australian private healthcare company providing private health insurance and complementary health solutions to almost 3.9 million private health insurance policyholders, government, corporate and other retail customers throughout Australia and New Zealand. The company is headquartered in Melbourne, Victoria, and has operations throughout Australia and a presence in New Zealand.

Healthcare Decisions, part of Capita Health and Wellbeing, offers solutions that support healthcare providers to make better decisions about their patients, and empower individuals to make better decisions about their own health and wellbeing. The practice brings together clinical expertise and innovation to power decision support based on three principles: safe, connected, useful.

Under the partnership, Healthcare Decisions will provide Medibank with its teleguides content set, which Medibank has localised for the Australian market, allowing Medibank to offer the population tailored, appropriate care advice, wherever they’re located. The content is written and customised through Capita’s decision management software (DMS) composer and can be used to create both clinical content and decision pathways, presented by phone, face to face, or on the web and mobile.
