Global consulting firm Elixirr’s latest partnership has seen it work with FinTech producer Envestnet | Yodlee. The alliance has seen the firms team up to bring  Envestnet | Yodlee’s experience from Silicon Valley to London for a two-day Launchpad event.

According to the consultancy’s founder and Managing Partner Stephen Newton, what sets Elixirr apart from its competitors is that the firm is willing to put “our money where our mouth is, taking risks together with our clients, building businesses.” This entrepreneurial spirit has long seen Elixirr continue a rapid growth trajectory across its global operations, as it has committed to a number of fruitful partnerships.

Recently this saw the self-styled ‘Challenger Consultancy’ sign deals with Kaizen to produce an innovative transaction reporting platform for financial services firms, and Thomas Cook, in order to build the disruptive holiday money service Thomas Cook Money. Now, Elixirr has teamed up with Envestnet | Yodlee in order to harness the disruptive power of the FinTech scene in the financial industry, hosting a two-day Launchpad event with the group.Elixirr partners with Envestnet | Yodlee for two day FinTech eventEnvestnet | Yodlee is an organisation based in the famous Silicon Valley of California, US, dedicated to the enhancement of the FinTech ecosystem. On its website, the firm outlines its goal as start-ups, banks, and everyone in between coming together to build products that can help consumers and small businesses better manage their financial lives. Leveraging new innovative technology, the products of Envestnet | Yodlee are fuelled by data, helping FinTech start-ups learn more and grow faster.

The alliance between the group and Elixirr has seen the leading FinTech programme come to London, in the hopes of helping entrepreneurs take their companies to the next level. Elixirr partnered with Envestnet | Yodlee to host two days of business and technical workshops featuring industry experts and mentors. Envestnet | Yodlee’s regular US-based Incubator features three week-long boot-camps, as well as mentorship from industry veterans, although an action-packed Launchpad London saw this distilled down to its purest essence.

Throughout the event, this saw the group teaching everything from building a business model to the power of branding, from enhancing customer experience to running a sales and marketing funnel, as well as discussions about legal and regulatory issues like Open Banking reform and the new PSD2 regulations, and how to work with big banks. The workshops were then followed by an exclusive event in the City of London’s new Sky Garden, on the 36th floor of the famous Walkie Talkie building, featuring stellar views of the city skyline, with start-ups and entrepreneurs being encouraged to network with bank executives, investors and influencers.

Commenting on the event, Brandon Bichler, a Partner at Elixirr, said, “Over the last four years, we have been cultivating a now unrivalled global innovation ecosystem, working with the best startups, VCs, incubators and investors to make real change happen, fast. One such trailblazer is Envestnet | Yodlee, and we are honoured to partner with them for their first Launchpad London. They are fully committed to the FinTech ecosystem, and like Elixirr, they’re passionate about building solutions to help both consumers and businesses.”

Other partners of the event included Innovate Finance, Level39, London & Partners, NewFinance, Startupbootcamp and the UK Government’s UKTI.

Grey Consulting and Makerversity announce strategic partnership

05 April 2019 Consultancy.uk

Grey Consulting has forged a new alliance with Makerversity, a 500-strong community of the brightest creative innovators, headquartered at Somerset House, London. The partnership hopes to tap into the experimental community to develop pioneering solutions for Grey Consulting’s clients.

In August 2018, one of the world’s largest design agencies surprised the business world by launching a dedicated consulting outfit. The news came as the two industries continued on their trajectory towards a historic synthesis. The consulting industry has been engaged in a pitched battle with the advertising and design space for the past few years, as the former increasingly encroaches on the territory of the latter via a protracted campaign of mergers and acquisitions; but there had been little traffic moving in the other direction.

At its launch, Grey Consulting was not billed as a direct competitor to established consultancies. However, the firm behind the new entity hopes that its creative experience will give it a competitive edge in winning consulting business from its existing clients. The Grey Group is a global advertising and marketing agency with headquarters in New York City, and 432 offices in 96 countries, operating in 154 cities. Grey Consulting opened its doors with a view to aiding clients within the areas of business and brand design, innovation and digital transformations.Grey Consulting and Makerversity announce strategic partnership

Now, as the firm looks to further expand its footprint in the market, Grey Consulting has unveiled details of a ground-breaking new alliance with Makerversity, a 500-strong community of creative innovators headquartered at Somerset House, London. The alignment with Makerversity is hoped to unlock the potential of collaborating with one of the world’s most experimental communities.

Makerversity curates and convenes the best talent across product design, fashion, art and experimental architecture, sustainable materials, IoT, digital manufacturing, and coding. It provides spaces and workshops for professional makers to develop and create their work, supported by Somerset House Trust. The alliance is expected to enable Grey Consulting to develop pioneering solutions for its clients, together with innovators who make something amazing for a living, every day.

Leo Rayman, Grey Consulting CEO, commented, “This gives our clients the potential to access a network of some of the most diverse and innovative individuals in the world today. Being so tightly connected to a community of makers means we don’t just develop transformational strategies but can quickly realise them in three dimensions. This sets Grey Consulting apart from the pure play strategy houses who are sometimes criticised for not making their thinking real at the pace modern businesses require.”

Fiona Dent, CEO of Makerversity, added, “Makerversity acts as a catalyst for unexpected encounters, fostering collaborations between an incredible range of the brightest leading creators and innovators. Our experimental approach and engaged members, whose own practice is defining our world, create highly original new outcomes. We are delighted to bring this philosophy to a wider audience and generate interesting projects for Makerversity members through our partnership with Grey Consulting.”
