Baringa Partners agrees partnership with cloud provider Workiva
Global consulting firm Baringa Partners has signed a partnership with human resources platform Wdesk. The alliance will see the firm leverage its industry expertise and experienced regulatory advisory services to help customers streamline risk and compliance processes and improve data-driven decisions.
Launched in 2000, British business and technology consultancy Baringa Partners has been going through a sustained period of growth. Presently boasting 600 staff and 60 partners across its four practice areas of Energy & Resources, Financial Services, Telecoms & Media and Consumer Products & Retail, the firm is keen to continue its expansion into the future. One of the avenues which the firm is leveraging to maintain this momentum is partnerships – an increasingly popular tactic in the consulting industry.
The latest of these sees Baringa teaming up with Workiva, a leading firm in data collaboration, reporting and compliance solutions. Technology is increasingly being looked to by companies as a way to offset growing regulatory burdens, and by leveraging AI and RegTech, firms are finding that they can not only cut costs, but improve the success rate of their compliance efforts. This particular deal taps into that, and will see Baringa's regulatory advisory expertise combined with the Workiva Wdesk platform, in order to help clients with the automation of risk and compliance processes, while assisting them with improving data consistency and transparency.
Wdesk itself enables users to link narrative to numbers to provide insightful context across documents, spreadsheets, presentations and reports. The platform also boasts features that include synchronised data, dynamic commentary, controlled collaboration, granular permissions and full audit trails, which help users reduce risk and gain confidence in their data-driven decisions. With clients spanning the financial services, energy & natural resources, telecommunications & consumer products industries in the UK, Europe and the United States, Baringa will pair its work with Wdesk to help companies manage and reduce regulatory risk, develop effective controls in a changing regulatory environment and implement company-wide compliance programs.
Guy Munton, Partner at Baringa said, "Combining Wdesk technology with our deep-change management and risk and compliance advisory skills enables us to help clients looking to achieve significantly stronger business and reporting performance. Baringa Partners recognise the exceptional value that cloud-based software such as Wdesk can bring to our customers."
Marty Vanderploeg, CEO of Workiva added, "Workiva is proud to collaborate with Baringa's experts and advisors to help companies transform how they manage, analyse and report business data across the enterprise. By working together, our customers will be able to streamline otherwise complex processes and solve complicated data challenges."
