BDO shows commitment to Liverpool with renewed lease

As part of its further push in the North West region, the firm is supporting local school leavers and graduate talent with a traineeship programme across its tax, audit and business advisory offerings.
Professional services firm BDO has a footprint in the North West of around 300 staff, including 25 partners, working from its offices in Liverpool and Manchester across audit, tax and advisory services. As part of its continued commitment to the North West region, the firm has renewed the lease contract for its Liverpool Temple Street base for a period of ten years, following a “sustained period of growth and investment in people and sector expertise.” The office covers an area of approximately 5,000 square feet and has a headcount of 60.
Brian Ricketts, partner at BDO in Liverpool, remarks that: “Liverpool is a fantastic city full of business potential and this lease extension fully demonstrates BDO's commitment to the region. The breadth of industry experience we now have in Liverpool is second-to-none, and we'll be looking to keep developing this throughout the year. Much like our clients, our sights are always firmly set on growth. The market is continuing to pick up and it’s important that Liverpool’s best businesses have the local expertise on their doorstep.”
As part of BDO’s commitment to the local area, the firm has set up a school leavers and graduate traineeship that covers its tax, audit and business advisory offerings. Ricketts explains: “As well as welcoming highly skilled experienced people, we're also committed to supporting young people in the area and helping to develop the leaders of tomorrow.” At is stands, 12 young people have been inducted into the programme, with more trainees to join the firm in the summer. “We have high-quality universities developing the business leaders of tomorrow. And our continued investment in staff and trainees allows us to support the city's thriving firms to explore new markets and expand.”
