Chris Balch appointed to Supervisory Board of Ecorys
Ecorys has appointed Chris Balch as a member of the Supervisory Board and its Audit Commission. Balch succeeds Hugh Williams, who has retired from the Board after an impressive number of years working for Ecorys in various executive and non-executive director roles.
Balch is highly experienced with a track record in business development, change management and leadership in the consulting industry, real estate advisory and public sector management. He is currently Professor of Planning at the British School of Geography, Earth and Environmental Studies at Plymouth University, where he is Chair of the Management Board of the Institute for Sustainability Solutions Research (ISSR). He is also non-Executive Chairman at Hilson Moran Consulting Engineers.
With the addition of Balch the Supervisory Board consists of four members – other members are Hein Schreuder (Chairman), Willem Molle and Marius Jonkhart.
Hein Schreuder, Chairman of the Supervisory Board, says that Ecorys is delighted with Balch’s “broad managerial and leadership experience in research-based consultancy and professional services.” He adds: “We are looking forward to a fruitful cooperation.”
