Actuarial consultancy Lane Clark & Peacock (LCP) has been undergoing a period of expansion in its investment practice, recently. Six months after the appointment of Laun Middleton from WTW, the firm has drafted in another new Partner in the form of Zuhair Mohammed.

Mohammed arrived at the firm from Aon Hewitt, where he had been working for the past 10 years. He had headed both its insurance asset solutions and corporate investment advisory teams from 2012, and was also Chief Executive of Aon’s delegated consulting business from 2007. Prior to this, Mohammed also spent time with P-Solve, Alexander Clay & Partners and Noble Lowndes. During his career, he has been lead investment advisor on several FTSE 100 and other large schemes, and Mohammed is also one of only two consultants among the members of the global pension and investment professionals think tank, the 300 Club.Zuhair Mohammed - Partner at LCPCommenting on his new role, which took effect in November, Mohammed remarked, “I’m excited to be joining a consulting business that has a refreshing clarity of purpose built around clients and to have the opportunity to make a real difference.”

LCP head of investment Clay Lambiotte said Mohammed is a big name in the investment consultancy market, which will be key for the firm going forward, as it attempts to cater to a boom in demand. Clay said, “We have seen strong demand for our services, driven by our clear focus on client needs and our commitment to independence. We continue to serve our clients at the highest levels and selectively add high calibre individuals, like Zuhair, ahead of demand.”

“Over recent years we have seen a number of large schemes shy away from off-the-shelf models offered by the global consultancies. They are looking for tailored solutions that best fit their needs. Zuhair is looking forward to working at LCP – a firm with a strong culture of putting the needs of clients first.”
