Aon hires Jason Hogg as Cyber Solutions lead
Aon has recruited Jason Hogg, the former President of American Express’ Enterprise Growth division, as its new lead of Aon Cyber Solutions and CEO of Stroz Friedberg.
Prior to joining Aon, Jason Hogg worked at private equity firm as a Senior Advisor & CEO and Partner, before which he was a Professor and Senior Lecturer at the Cornell University - Johnson Graduate School of Management, where he taught Entrepreneurship, Innovation, Private Equity and Venture Capital for eight years. Concurrently to his teaching career he was a Chairman at HangIt from 2014, along with the CEO at B2R Finance L.P, from 2014 until 2016; and following the acquisition of Revolution Money, which he founded, he also worked as the President of American Express Enterprise Growth from 2009 until 2014.
Cybersecurity is becoming an increasingly prominent issue, businesses were hit with a combined estimated loss of $280 billion last year – which digitalisation and new devices are set to increase the potential threat. Insurers are seeking to cash into the trend, offering new cybersecurity cover in a range of contexts.
The hire of Hogg, who holds a Master of Business Administration from Cornell University - Johnson Graduate School of Management, is aimed at raising the firm’s capabilities in the development of new solutions for clients in the cybersecurity space.
He will lead the firm’s Aon Cyber Solutions business line, tasked with leading growth and support clients. He will also serve as Chief Executive Officer of Stroz Friedberg, a firm recently integrated into Aon’s wider following its takeover last year.
