Infosys opens new delivery center in Karlovac, Croatia

Technology services firm Infosys has opened a new delivery center in Karlovac, Croatia, its fifth in Europe and third in Eastern Europe.

The Karlovac delivery center will deliver value to global clients of Infosys, with a specific focus on engineering customers based in the Nordics. The focus will be on consolidating consulting, IT and engineering skills in the areas of power generation, design and development of large gas and steam turbines, digital solutions for service and maintenance, and development of advanced engineering software tools.

The new facility will, accroding to Ravi Kumar S., President and Deputy Chief Operating Officer of Infosys, besides supporting engineering clients worldwide also meet near-shoring requirements and offer R&D services. “In line with the company’s strategy to establish global competency centers, this delivery center also marks our expansion into Eastern Europe’s established heavy engineering sector”, he said.

Kumar S. added: “As we aim at scaling the Karlovac delivery center, we will be looking to tap local talent and partner with local academic institutions, co-innovate with clients and nurture a partner ecosystem to help deliver next-generation services.”
