Chris Osborne heads economic consultancy practice of FTI Consulting
A leadership transition in FTI Consulting's Economic Consulting practice sees Chris Osborne rise to the role of Global Leader of the arm, succeeding John Klick who will continue to support the firm's key clients in a new Executive Committee Key Client Relationship role.
Prior to joining FTI Consulting in 2009, Chris Osborne worked at management consultancy firm LECG for seven years, in his most recent role as a Managing Director. He was previously a Partner at now defunct ‘Big Five’ firm Arthur Anderson, where he spent more than 20 years of his career in roles of increasing seniority. Osborne holds a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Bristol University. His work at FTI Consulting has included serving as the Co-Chairman of the EMEA region and Head of the Company’s Economic & Financial Consulting practice.
Osborne has been appointed as the firm’s Global Leader of the Economic Consulting segment, a role he takes over from John Klick. Osborne’s new responsibilities include leading a team of 650 experts in economic consulting, covering client needs in everything from providing critical insights and expert testimony in legal and regulatory proceedings to strategic decision-making.
John Klick has been with FTI Consulting since 1998, when he joined the firm from his own economic and regulatory consultancy founded in 1987, focused on the telecommunications and transportation sectors (the move was part of an acquisiion by FTI). Klick was previously a Vice President at Snavely, King and Associates for seven years. At FTI, Klick, who holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from Bates College, worked in various senoir roles, and was since 2004 the Global Leader of the Economic Consulting segment.
Klick has been appointed to a new Executive Committee Key Client Relationship role, which will see him work with some of the firm’s key clients, leveraging his more than 40 years of experience, to deepen relationships and support clients manage and address some of their most critical challenges.
