BDO hires two new Partners to its Gatwick and Southampton offices
BDO has picked up two new Partners, they join the firm's Tax practice. Erin Davis re-joins the firm after four years, in which she worked at KPMG and PKF Francis Clark, and will be based in the BDO's Southampton office. Catherine Jones joins the firm from PwC, where she was a Tax Partner, and will work from the firm's Gatwick office.
Prior to re-joining BDO, Erin Davis worked at PKF Francis Clark as a Tax Director and Head of Corporate Tax Services for the Poole, New Milton and Salisbury offices for almost two years. She previously spent almost two years at KPMG as a Senior Manager in the firm’s Corporate Tax segment. Earlier roles include just over a year at Francis Clark Chartered Accountants as a Tax Director; Senior Tax Manager at BDO in her most recent role after seven years of service; Tax Accountant at Sunseeker International (interim role); and as a Corporate Tax Advisor at Deloitte, where she started out in 2001.
Davis holds a LLB in Law from the University of Southampton, an ATT & CTA in Tax from BPP Professional Education and a Diploma in International Tax Grade Papers 1 & 2 completed at Tolleys Tax Training.
Davis returns to BDO, after more than four years of absence from the firm, as a Partner in its Southampton office. She joins the firm’s Tax practice, focused on supporting the firm’s corporate clients and owner-managed businesses. With the addition, the firm's Southampton tax team is 64-strong, and has four dedicated partners focused on the local area.
Prior to joining BDO, Catherine Jones worked at PwC for eight years. Her most recent role was as Tax Partner, whereby she led the firm’s Gatwick office Tax practice. She previously worked at KPMG for more than fifteen years, rising to the role of Tax Partner at the professional services firm.
Jones, who holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology from the University of Surrey, joins the firm’s Gatwick office, where she will leverage her more than 25 years of experience to support the firm’s clients across a range of sectors with corporate tax and advisory services.
