Atos boosts UK presence with acquisition of Engage ESM

Atos has acquired Engage ESM for an undisclosed sum. The deal sees around 140 enterprise-service management professionals, the majority of whom are based in the UK, transfer to Atos. The bolt-on boosts Atos' presence in the space and adds a proven training ground for ESM consultants to its mix. The company is to retain its branding.

Engage ESM was founded in 2001 in London. The company offers enterprise-service management (ESM) services and consultancy, and is a ServiceNow Gold Services Partner. The firm employs around 140 people across the UK (London, Slough), Poland and the US, and generates a global turnover of around £17 million.

The addition of Engage ESM to Atos boosts the firm’s portfolio in the ESM space – a growing segment in the wake of the digital and technology boom – while strengthening the firm’s capabilities in ESM across Europe. Engage ESM further has a strong track record in the hiring, training and retaining of consultants – allowing the firm to better train and develop staff across its own network.

Engage ESM – an Atos company – will continue to operate as a standalone subsidiary; the firm’s senior management team will join the French origin IT giant, and is tasked with continuing to grow the company with the wider resources and client network of Atos.

Last year Atos acquired US-based Anthelio Healthcare Solutions for $275 million. The deal saw more than 1,700 professionals join its Healthcare practice in North America.
