18 consulting firms recognised as top LGBT employer
Eighteen consulting firms are, according to the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, leaders in the area of workplace equality for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) employees.
The Corporate Equality Index
The Corporate Equality Index (CEI) released by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation is the US benchmark on corporate policies and practices related to workplace equality for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Transgender (LGBT) employees. The cornerstone of the Index is the principle of non-discrimination with respect to sexual orientation and gender identity, ranging from non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs and public engagement with the LGBT community.
For the 2015 edition, the CEI rated 781 US-based major businesses of which an all-time record of 366 earned a 100%-score and have been named a “Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality”. Among the 366 businesses that earned a top score, 18 consulting firms are to be found:
