AlixPartners opens office in Houston, 9th in US and 25th globally
AlixPartners has opened a new office in Houston, Texas – its 25th office globally and its 9th in the US. The new office improves its offering to regional clients as well as provides additional capacity for new clients, particularly from the troubled regional energy sector. Becky Roof will take the helm of the new hub, and brings more than 18 years of experience at the firm to the role.
AlixPartners has worked with Texas regional clients for a number of years, and, the new on the ground office will, according to a spokesperson, boost the firm’s regional presence – enhancing its offering in consulting, restructuring, forensics, digital-transformation and organisational services to clients across industries in the region.
The new office will initially have a staff of 25, including Becky Roof, who has been with the firm for the past 18 years, as one of the Managing Directors and office lead. Bill Ebanks, David Hindman and Larry Young are the additional Managing Directors at the new office. The Houston hub will also boast 12 Directors, the firm’s second to highest rank.

Freakley says that in particular the energy industry will be targeted by AlixPartners – more than 3,000 energy and oil & gas companies are headquartered in the region, with considerable demand for transformation expected from them in the coming period on the back of uncertain of market conditions.
