Point B adds healthcare advisor David Derr to Property practice

Point B has added 40 year healthcare veteran David Derr as Principal to the firm’s Property Development business. The addition bolsters the firm's capabilities in property development as it expands its business further into the healthcare space within the US market.

Prior to joining Point B, David Derr was Partner at HealthcareFusion. Derr started the company in 2013, and has since busied himself with the implementation of LEAN process improvement techniques to the field of healthcare. Concurrently, Derr worked as a Principal at Shepley Bulfinch (Shepley Bulfinch Richardson & Abbott), where he focused on building the firm’s Southwest healthcare practice. Previously, Derr worked at Odell Associates as a Principal from 2011 to 2013; at Ellerbe Becket as a Principal from 1999 until 2011; and at HDR as a Principal from 1994 until 1998.

Derr holds a Bachelor of Arts in Architecture, Architecture, Government from Ohio University.

Derr joins Point B’s Property Development business as a Principal. In the role, Derr will be responsible for leading a range of initiatives for the firm as it expands its property development business into the Healthcare space. The work will see Derr tasked with, among others, the integration of the firm’s Healthcare capabilities into the Property Development business and its continued growth. In April the US-based consultancy also added Maureen Waters as a Principal to the unit – she joined form Bill Gates Investments.
