L.E.K. Consulting adds Yong Teng to office in Shanghai, China
L.E.K. Consulting has appointed Yong Teng as a Principal in its China practice. In his new role Teng, who joins from Crimson Investment where he was a Director, will provide the firm’s regional and global clients with growth and operational advisory. Teng will work from L.E.K.’s Shanghai office.
Prior to joining L.E.K. Consulting, a global management consulting firm with 20+ offices globally, Yong Teng worked at Crimson Investment as a Director, responsible for cross-border buy-out / deal assessment and portfolio management. Previously, between 2008 and 2014, Teng worked for A.T. Kearney, in his last role as a Principal. At the US-headquartered consultancy, Teng focused on engagements in the technology, energy and industrial sectors. Earlier in his career he also served Accenture.
Teng holds a Bachelor of Engineering in Aerospace Engineering from Nanjing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, a Master of Business Administration from Cornell University and a Doctor of Philosophy in Aerospace Engineering from the University of Virginia.
Teng joins L.E.K. Consulting’s China practice as a Principal, and will operate from its Shanghai office, the headquarters for the Greater China region. L.E.K. has been on the ground in China since 1998, and today also has another office in Beijing. Teng brings more than fifteen year of operational and cross-cultural experience to the role, and will be tasked with advising Chinese clients on how they can expand their global footprint, as well as international players operating within the Chinese market.
Helen Chen, Managing Director and head of L.E.K.’s China practice, says that the firm is “very excited” with the addition of Yong to its Shanghai office, as part of the firm’s continued expansion in the region.
