Professional Services arm of Sage chooses Kimble as its PSA solution

FTSE 100 business Sage has chosen Kimble Applications to provide its PSA solution to the firm’s Professional Services division. The solution will first be implemented in North America, and subsequently be rolled out across Sage’s global footprint.

Founded in the UK more than 30 years ago, today Sage is with over 13,000 professionals one of the globe’s larger software providers for integrated accounting, payroll and payment systems. The company, headquartered in Newcastle upon Tyne, is the world's third-largest supplier of enterprise resource planning software (behind Oracle and SAP), and, when it comes to the small businesses segment, with 6.1 million customers the market leader.

Sage’s division that serves the professional services industry – X3 Professional Services – works for clients in, among others, the advertising, consulting, engineering, equipment rental, IT / software, and technical services sectors. The firm’s enterprise resource planning software covers the full spectrum of primary and secondary processes, from sales & business development to project management and finances to service management.

Kimble Applications

In a bid to further optimise its internal operations, the Professional Services arm of Sage has decided to adopt Kimble Applications’ professional services automation (PSA) tool. “As our X3 Professional Services division goes from strength to strength, we wanted to facilitate that growth and drive efficiencies with a PSA solution,” explains David Fogel, Global Head of Sage’s Professional Services unit.

Kimble’s Software as a Service (SaaS) based solution helps organisations manage their operations, including resourcing, revenue management, project delivery, expense management and processes (e.g. O2C), as well as provides real-time diagnostics that support decision-making. Asked for why Sage chose Kimble’s offering, Fogel points at the firm’s knowledge of the professional services industry, and the solution’s extensive functionality, the seamless integration with Salesforce and its mobile/app optimised way of working.
