Mott MacDonald hires David Webster as Highways Director

Mott MacDonald has hired David Webster as a Director in its UK Highways Business. Webster, who joins from AECOM, has more than 35 years of highways experience and will be responsible for developing the firm’s offerings within Scotland and Northern Ireland, as well as delivering projects.

Prior to joining Mott MacDonald, David Webster worked at AECOM, where he headed up the company’s 60-strong strategic highways Scotland team. During his career within the transport sector, which spans more than 35 years, Webster has been responsible for a number of large frameworks for transportation providers – including local authorities, passenger transport executives and Transport Scotland. Webster is currently a member of the Chartered Institution of Highways and Transportation and the Institution of Civil Engineers.

Mott MacDonald recently announced that the firm has hired Webster as a Director to its UK Highways Business. Webster’s new responsibility will be to develop a highway’s offering that is fitting for players within the Scotland and Northern Ireland market, thereby driving a growing client base, as well as managing delivery.

Another recent appointment in Mott MacDonald's UK Transport sector practice is that of Norrie Westbrook, who has been appointed Development Director for the firm's UK highway development business in March of this year.
