Towers Watson has recently strengthened its Asia Pacific Insurance Management Consultancy practice with two senior appointments. Keith Brooks joins from Generali, where he served as Country Manager for the Thailand business, while Wesley Cui has been promoted from internal ranks. In their new roles, Cui will lead the Insurance Management Consultancy practice in China, Brooks will manage the business across the Asia Pacific region.

Over the last two years Towers Watson – one of the largest HR consulting firms of the globe – has on the back of a number of large project wins in the region grown its Insurance Management Consultancy practice. Against the backdrop of the firm’s ambition to further boost its market share in the region, the consultancy has strengthened its management team with two senior leaders.

Insurance Consulting

Keith Brooks has been poached from Generali, where he led the Thailand business, and in his new role will serve as Asia Pacific Regional Director of the Insurance Management Consultancy unit. Brooks has worked in Asia since 1998, with a focus on the insurance sector. “With his wealth of hands-on experience in business strategy and operational management, Keith will further broaden and strengthen our support to insurers to grasp the opportunities throughout Asia, and to address their increasingly dynamic business challenges,” says Michael Freeman, Managing Director of Risk Consulting & Software for the Asia Pacific at Towers Watson.

Elsewhere, Wesley Cui has been appointed Director Insurance Management Consultancy for China. Cui joined Towers Watson China in 2011 and has successfully broadened the range of consulting services to insurers in China in the areas of strategic and operational reviews. Adrian Liu, General Manager of Insurance Consulting in China, comments: “I am delighted Wesley has taken up the role of Insurance Management Consultancy practice leader in China. Chinese insurers are facing a daunting set of challenges alongside tremendous growth opportunities. Wesley, with his extensive experience of giving strategic advice, solid actuarial expertise and sharp business acumen, is well placed in providing practical solutions to our clients.”
