Alykhan Velshi joins McKinsey & Company in Toronto

Consulting firm McKinsey & Company has recently appointed Alykhan Velshi as an Associate for its office in Toronto, Canada. Velshi will assume his new role in the beginning of January 2015.

Alykhan Velshi will join McKinsey & Company after a career at the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) of Canada. Here Velshi fulfilled the role of Director of Issues Management for almost three years since 2011 until September of this year. Prior to working for the PMO, Velshi fulfilled several roles at the Canadian parliament, such as senior special assistant, Director of Communications, and Director of Parliamentary Affairs. Velshi also worked for the American Enterprise Institute, and for the Foundation for the Defense of Democracies, a period during which he also co-founded the Center for Law and Counterterrorism.

Velshi holds a Law degree from the London School of Economics where he graduated in 2005 and passed the New York bar exam in 2006.
