Simon-Kucher & Partners grows with double digits
Simon-Kucher & Partners has booked a strong first quarter in 2013. The international marketing en strategy consultancy generated a global revenue of €37.5 million– 11% higher than in the same quarter last year. The growth was realized across all regions, including the crisis-hit European and US region.
The positive result in Q1 2013 follows a record year in 2012 for Simon-Kucher & Partners – last year it saw its revenue rise by 19% to €144 million. Looking forward, the German-based consulting firm has set the ambitious target to break through the barrier of €250 million revenue by 2016. "Everything is going according to plan. The upcoming months also look very positive" says SKP CEO Georg Tacke. He anticipates to reach a total revenue of €160 million for 2013 and adds that the management team is confident that the firm is well on track to realize the ambitious 2016 target.
New offices
The most important driver for Simon-Kucher’s growth is geographic expansion into new markets. Last year the firm opened new locations in Dubai and Istanbul and this year new offices are planned in São Paulo (Brazil) and Santiago (Chile). With these upcoming office openings Simon-Kucher & Partners will grow its footprint to 27 offices worldwide.
Recruitment
In the first quarter of this year Simon-Kucher & Partners hired 50 new consultants, raising the number of employees worldwide to approximately 690. Another 100 are expected to be hired over the course of the year.
