Deloitte RE shortlisted for Planning Consultancy Award

Deloitte Real Estate has been shortlisted for the Planning Consultancy of the Year Award, an award category of the newly launched Planning Awards that recognise exceptional planning work. The winners of the Awards will be announced on 18 November 2014 in London.

The Planning Awards
The Planning Awards is an award ceremony during which outstanding achievements in planning work is celebrated of several key players in the industry, including to local authorities, consultants, developers, lawyers, and different key groups. The Awards, which is run by Planning magazine and Planning Resource, was launched in June 2014. The nominated work and projects have been carried out between 1 January 2013 to 30 June 2014, and the winners will be announced at the first ceremony taking place on Tuesday, 18th November, at the 1 Wimpole Street in London.

The Planning Awards are divided in 13 categories, among others: Infrastructure Planning, Planning for Economic Growth, Planning for the Environment, Strategic Planning, Planning Consultancy of the Year, Development Management Team of the Year, and Planning Policy Team of the Year. In addition to the 13 categories, there will also be an Editor’s Award, given to the project or team that demonstrated exceptional achievement in planning work, to be chosen by the Editor.

Award for Planning Consultancy of the Year
Deloitte Real Estate has been nominated for the Planning Consultancy of the Year Award, an award that will be given to the consultancy that most clearly demonstrated a positive impact with its planning work, for instance on the physical or environmental quality of a place, or the economic or social well-being of a community. In addition to Deloitte, three other companies have been shortlisted: AECOM, Hunter Page Planning, and Terence O'Rourke.
