HR consulting firm Mercer has been named an official ‘Advisory Services Partner’ by enterprise cloud provider Workday. Under the alliance, Mercer is authorised to support clients with Workday-related consulting and implementation services.

Workday, founded in 2005, is a cloud-based human capital management and financial management software vendor. After a number of years of spectacular growth – the firm currently has 2,600 employees and is valued at more than $10 billion – Workday competes with large rivals such as Oracle or SAP, mainly by offering online services at a fraction of the cost of the incumbent vendors.

Workday - Mercer

To support global clients with Workday expertise, implementation services and solutions, Workday has established an ecosystem of trusted partners, which consists of advisory-, software- and payroll partners. Several well-known consulting firms belong to the advisory partner ecosystem, including among others Accenture, Aon Hewitt, Capgemini, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC and Towers Watson.

Based on Mercer’s extensive track record in the field of Human Resources, and the firm’s growing footprint in Workday consulting, the cloud provider has decided to admit the HR consultancy to its network. As part of the partnership, which will internally be led by Workday Practice Leader Steven Seykora, Mercer can now consult with organisations in a number of areas surrounding the successful adoption of Workday’s Human Capital Management (HCM) offering. Examples include assisting Workday customers with HR transformation, service delivery model redesign support, HR data strategy, change readiness and salary compensation structures.

Steven Seykora - Kim Seals

“We are proud to be joining the Workday ecosystem as an Advisory Services Partner,” says Kim Seals, Senior Partner at Mercer. “We believe our current role as a trusted HR-focused advisor to organizations of all kinds is ideally matched to the growing market demand for Workday. Our ultimate objective of course is to help clients achieve the highest possible return on their Workday investment through our leading technology consulting and solutions.”
