BDO expands footprint with member firm in Reunion
Professional services firm BDO has expanded its global network with a new member firm in Réunion, an island in the Indian Ocean between Mauritius and Madagascar. Approximately 135 employees of ‘Conseil & Audit – Développement’ have joined BDO, and the local firm has been rebranded to BDO Réunion.
Conseil & Audit – Développement was founded in 1982 and has grown to 4 offices on Réunion island (St.Clotilde, St.Benoit, Le Port and St.Pierre) and two international offices on the islands of Mayotte and Madagascar. The firm delivers audit, accounting, bookkeeping, tax compliance, HR / Payroll, legal and outsourcing services to a wide range of local and international companies, with a focus on clients in the retail sector, estate and not for profit sectors. BDO Réunion has a revenue of more than €9 million.
Managing partner Didier De Launay is delighted to be joining the BDO network at this point in the firm’s development: “Our firm enjoys a good reputation for having both a strong client base and excellent service delivery and BDO stands out in this respect because no other network is set up to adapt to individual clients and provide the right service mix for them. At BDO, as in our firm, relationships matter, and we look forward to being part of a collaborative international organisation whose global expertise, common methodologies and IT platforms will ensure an even more effective service delivery to our clients."
“At BDO we are actively increasing our presence in the economies that we know are central to our clients’ growth strategies, and expanding our presence in Africa allows us not only to increase our footprint, but to offer a greater depth of services, combined with essential local expertise. BDO in Réunion has already shown both dedication and a commitment to providing consistently quality professional services and it is a great pleasure to welcome such a firm to BDO,” says Anders Heede, Global head of BDO’s EMEA region.
