David Johnson new Financial Chief of FTI Consulting
FTI Consulting, a global consulting firm that focuses on business consulting and financial advisory, has appointed David Johnson as its Chief Financial Officer. Johnson joins from Athene Holding, where he also held the position of Chief Financial Officer.
“David is a talented financial executive with wide-ranging capabilities and experience. He is strategic, analytical and has a very open, collaborative approach to management. I look forward to working with him,” says Steven Gunby, President and Chief Executive of FTI Consulting.
Before joining FTI Consulting, Johnson held the position of Executive Vice President and CFO at Athene Holding – a Bermuda headquartered issuer and reinsurer of fixed annuities – where he started in 2013. Prior to this he worked as CFO for the Federal National Mortgage Association (“Fannie Mae”), Hartford Financial Services Group and the former Cendant Corporation.
At FTI Consulting, Johnson will replace Roger Carlile, who was the firms’ CFO since 2011, and will be working from the company’s headquarters in Washington. He will be responsible of all finance functions and lead the execution of FTI’s growth strategy, while working closely with the firm’s Executive Committee. “FTI’s platform is unique, the depth of its professionals’ expertise is impressive and my past experiences have given me a deep appreciation of the value they bring to their clients,” said Johnson in a statement. “I look forward to returning to my roots in services and partnering with my new colleagues around the globe.”
Other Executive Officer elections
In addition to appointing Johnson, FTI Consulting has also announced two other senior management appointments. Holly Paul was appointed Chief of Human Resources, and Paul Linton, previously a Senior Partner and Managing Director at the Boston Consulting Group, was appointed FTI’s Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer.
