C86 expands European presence with stake in LucSien Advisory Partners
C86, a UK-headquartered technology consultancy, has expanded its European presence through a strategic stake in Austria-based LucSien Advisory Partners.
The foundations of C86 were built in the early 2000s, when members of the core team began working on transformation programmes for major institutions and organisations. The consulting firm partners with organisations looking to use technology for mission-critical applications; deploying proven methods, experienced teams and AI-driven delivery in the process.
As it looks to expand its reach across Europe, C86 has acquired a 50% stake in Vienna-based LucSien Advisory Partners. The move combines C86’s expertise across AI, cybersecurity and digital transformation with LucSien’s management consulting capabilities.
Founded in 2019, LucSien is a boutique advisory firm, specialised in supporting senior management roles. The firm has led banks, insurance and industrial companies through transformations; implemented cost-cutting programmes under board pressure, and operated model redesigns, to help clients realise results.
Michael Fröhlich, CEO and founder of LucSien, said, “From our first conversations, C86 and LucSien shared the same conviction: AI is rewriting the rules of consulting. AI can support analysis, but knowing what matters, making the right decisions and being accountable for the outcome still requires people who have done it before. Our clients get exactly that: senior practitioners who pair strategic judgment with the technical depth to turn ideas into real business outcomes. Joining forces with C86 allows us to take that model international while staying true to the culture and senior-led expertise that have defined LucSien from the beginning.”
Combined expansion
According to a release from the two companies, combined revenues are “expected to almost triple by the end of next year.” Looking ahead, the combined firm of C86 and LucSien is targeting becoming a €250 million global consultancy by 2027.
The combined businesses both operate across the UK, Europe and the US, with expertise that spans financial services, critical infrastructure and transport, the public sector and enterprise technology. Their clients include global financial services firm CitCo and London Gatwick, the UK’s second-largest airport.
Alongside Fröhlich, the partnership will draw on the combined experience of the advisors, board and executive leadership teams at both firms, with C86 Executive Chairman Adam Fawsitt, and Investment Director and Ben Doltis both bringing deep investment expertise and commercial acumen. Other leaders include C86 CEO Rob Robinson, Non‑Executive Director Andy Isherwood, formerly managing director at AWS EMEA and HP.
C86’s Robinson added, “This investment means our customers get broader expertise and greater scale through a single partner they already trust. LucSien’s strength in business consulting expands what we can deliver across AI, cloud, cybersecurity and digital transformation. We can tackle more complex challenges together, without losing the agility and close client relationships that define both our businesses.”
