Alvarez & Marsal adds Richard Chalk to disputes and investigations team in London
Alvarez & Marsal has welcomed Richard Chalk as a new managing director in its disputes and investigations practice in London.
Commenting via a LinkedIn post with 200 engagements, Chalk said, “I’m excited to announce that I’ve joined the disputes and investigations practice at Alvarez & Marsal to lead the forensic data analytics team out of London. This sees me reunite with many amazing people I’ve worked with over the years, including Jonathan Marshall, Phil Beckett and Nicola Cobb, to name but a few.”
Chalk specialises in forensic data analytics, investigations, compliance reviews, and financial crime. He has significant experience developing data-driven solutions and using advanced techniques in data identification, collection, analysis, and review to address organisations’ most critical challenges.
Most recently, he spent five years with FTI Consulting, where he was latterly a senior managing director and partner in the forensic data analytics team. Earlier, he also spent two years as a managing director at Ankura – following the firm’s acquisition of Navigant, where he was a director.
Speaking on his new challenge, Chalk added, “I’m already impressed with the breadth of capability and experience across the practice, and energised by the continued growth plans across the region. Data has never been a more important topic, and working with clients to answer their most complex questions in times of crisis is exactly where we add value. Please drop me a message if you’re interested in understanding more about A&M.”
Founded in 1983, Alvarez & Marsal is a global professional services firm, which helps corporates, boards, private equity firms, law firms and government agencies drive transformation, mitigate risk and unlock value. In recent years, the firm’s EMEA-wide corporate finance team in particular has come in for accelerated demand.
