K2 Integrity names Michael Kallabat as global investigations lead

Risk management and assurance firm K2 Integrity has announced a new global head of investigations and disputes. Michael Kallabat will now lead a multidisciplinary team of specialists to identify and address critical vulnerabilities and build enterprise-wide risk management strategies for clients.

Aaron Karczmer, K2’s CEO, said, “We are delighted to bring on board a leader of Michael’s extensive qualifications and experience to assist our clients with their most pressing risk management needs. His addition to K2 reflects our commitment to provide clients with a unique combination of the best in human intelligence and the most advanced AI-enabled systems to address the challenges of a rapidly evolving and increasingly complex risk landscape.”

K2 Integrity is a global risk management company, working across both the public and private sectors to help organisations protect their assets, and meet key regulatory obligations. The firm’s team of subject-matter experts includes former regulators, economic security officials, and industry veterans, who specialise in financial crime prevention, regulatory compliance, cybersecurity, investigations, and risk advisory.

Michael Kallabat has joined this cohort, and will now serve internationally, as the firm’s chief of investigations and disputes. This work will see him oversee a team of other specialists, working to create risk management strategies related to business disputes, cross-border fraud, bribery and corruption investigations, and other complex matters.

Kallabat brings nearly two decades of experience advising organisations on fraud risk program design, third-party anti-bribery and anti-corruption screening, and crisis and business continuity planning. Prior to joining K2, he held senior leadership roles at global consulting firms, where he led teams developing and executing risk management and compliance strategies for clients across the US, Middle East, Europe, and Asia. He is a graduate of Georgetown University.

He noted, “I’m thrilled to be joining K2 at such a pivotal moment in its evolution, as the company continues to expand its services and capabilities for clients through the recent acquisitions of Leviathan and RiskFront AI. I’m excited to contribute to K2’s journey as it embraces change, technology, and AI to build for the future.”
