Leonard Curtis names Sophie Smith director to strengthen offshore offering
Corporate restructuring firm Leonard Curtis has announced 28 promotions, demonstrating its continued dedication to people development. Most senior among the promotions is Sophie Smith, who is appointed to director, strengthening the firm’s offshore capabilities.

The promotions see a new director in the Guernsey office, Sophie Smith, marking a significant commitment to the firm’s offshore capabilities.
Smith is a fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants, and takes both voluntary and Court-led appointments in respect of companies and funds incorporated in the Crown Dependencies and the Caribbean. Prior to relocating to Guernsey in 2021, she practised in both the British Virgin Islands and the United Kingdom in restructuring and forensic accounting.
Wider promotions
The news comes alongside another 27 promotions across the UK and Leonard Curtis’ offshore offices.
Most appointments come from Bury, with 15. Alex Kay is promoted to manager, Ben Bardsley, Ben Hopwood, Catherine Ormerod and Emma Hartley to assistant manager, and Emma Edgar and James Parsonage promoted to senior manager.
Isabelle Messenger and Russell Vilanueva have each been promoted to Senior Administrator, whilst Mariam Asif, Myles Thompson, Nia Park, Rachel Roscoe, Redvers Rowson and Ross Heald all become Administrators.
Also based in the Bury office, Nara Fullbrook has been promoted to senior manager within the HR team and Allison Whyborn, Compliance Assistant Manager.
Birmingham and London see two promotions each, with Jodie Hollinshead and Sam Kaye promoted to administrator in the Midlands, and Natasha Phillmore, senior administrator and Oliver Kennedy to manager in the capital.
In Bristol, Charlotte Thompson becomes senior administrator, and Elaine Holland and Shannon Jones are promoted to assistant manager in Sheffield.
In the North East Sarah Gray has been promoted to senior relationship manager, and from the firm’s marketing team in London, Rebecca Angell is promoted to senior marketing executive.
Leonard Curtis sold a majority stake to specialist financial services PE house Pollen Street Capital just under a year ago and is investing in people to meet ambitious growth targets across the firm.
