JobVantage debuts new AI-powered recruitment engine – developed with Hexploits

Recruitment technology startup JobVantage has launched a new platform, developed in partnership with Hexploits, designed to automate the manual sourcing processes that have traditionally slowed down recruitment agencies.

The new system aggregates job listings and applicant profiles from across the internet before putting an AI to the task of matching candidates with the right jobs. This eliminates the manually grind that recruitment agencies had to go through to find the right candidate, including extensive LinkedIn searching, spreadsheet management, and contact research.

The project addressed a common challenge in the recruitment sector, where agencies frequently rely on manual searches and intuition to connect people with vacancies. By centralising data from various online channels, the new platform offers a more objective, data-driven approach to hiring.

Simplifying complex recruitment data

A primary objective of the project was to create an engine capable of understanding unstructured information. The problem is that job seekers often submit credentials in different formats, like CVs in various layouts. There is also other data that recruiters need to have on hand, like audio recordings from introductory calls and images of portfolio work.

Hexploits designed an AI pipeline that automatically processes these diverse inputs. The system transcribes audio files, extracts text from images, and analyses the context of CVs to identify skills.

For example, an applicant that mentions managing a team of five within an audio clip will be automatically tagged with management experience. This processing converts a big mess of information into a standardised profile, allowing the platform to run two-way matches that find jobs for candidates and candidates for jobs.

Infrastructure that limits early expenses

The cost of technology infrastructure can be a serious burden for a growing business that has yet to secure a steady stream of customers. To prevent high monthly computing bills, Hexploits built the platform to run on Amazon Web Services serverless technologies instead of dedicated resources.

The serverless approach ensures that JobVantage only incurs expenses when the system is actively responding to requests or processing files. During quiet periods, infrastructure costs drop to near-zero.

This system helps the company expand its user base and test features without the pressure of steep overhead costs. If platform activity doubles, the costs scale linearly at roughly two times the amount, preventing sudden financial spikes.

Connecting recruiters with decision makers

Beyond identifying matches, the platform helps streamline the outreach process for recruiters. While evaluating data, the system generates a curated list of the top 30 opportunities, accompanied by an AI ranking score out of 1,000 and a written explanation detailing why the match is suitable.

To boost communication, the platform automatically retrieves contact details for the relevant hiring manager at each target company. Recruiters receive direct access to email addresses, telephone numbers, and professional social media profiles alongside the match results.

This integration removes the need for manual contact research, allowing consultants to initiate outreach immediately. The whole system operates with a processing latency of under five seconds for complex media files, maintaining an overall availability rate of effectively 100%

“JobVantage succeeded because we approached the engagement as business partners, not just technical contractors,” said Cameron Mukherjee, Director at Hexploits.

“Many engineering teams optimise for technical elegance or feature completeness. We optimised for JobVantage’s actual constraint: reaching profitability before running out of runway. Every API call, every AI processing job, every database query costs a fraction of a penny. At scale, these economics compound into a significant competitive advantage. Before scale, they compound into survival.”
