Grant Thornton appoints seven new partners in Advisory business
Grant Thornton has strengthened its Advisory leadership team by promoting seven senior professionals to equity partner.
All seven appointments have been made from within the firm, with the new partner recruits working across areas such as economic development, economic consulting, public services transformation and data driven insight.
Rob Turner and Alasdair Grainger, both London-based, have been promoted to partners in the consulting practice. Turner leads Public Services Consulting and Grainger will now be heading the Energy Transition & Sustainability practice.
Tom Middleton (London) and Joel Strange (who works across London and Cardiff) have been promoted to partner and will be co-leading Economic Consulting. They bring deep expertise in economic regulation, economic advice in the context of disputes, economic modelling and policy evaluation and impact – helping clients better understand economic issues and make informed decisions.
Adam Hughes has been appointed as a partner in Debt and Capital Advisory, strengthening Grant Thornton’s capability to advise on capital structure, private equity buyouts and merger & acquisition activity.
Within Business Risk Services, Emma Young and Ben Langford have been promoted to partner. Both are London-based and have experience in risk management and integrated assurance services.
Advisory
Will McWilliams, Head of Core Advisory at Grant Thornton, said that the promotions reinforce the firm’s strategic focus on building a market-leading advisory business, including the plan to recruit 160 partners over the next two years.
“These new partners truly represent the best of Grant Thornton, ambitious, thoughtful and deeply committed to delivering for our clients. Their promotion comes at a time when demand for high-quality, commercially focused advisory support continues to grow.”
“I am especially proud that the partners appointed have come through our own business. It speaks to the strength of talent pipeline and the long-term careers we build here. Each of them has already made a significant impact on our advisory services, and their leadership will be vital as we continue to grow.”
Firm-wide, Grant Thornton has a team of 5,500 people and is led by more than 200 partners.
