Microsoft ERP specialist Nexer appoints manufacturing lead
Nexer Enterprise Applications, has appointed Matt Birtwistle as manufacturing industry lead.

Headquartered in Göteborg, Nexer is a tech company deeply rooted in the Swedish heritage of entrepreneurship and innovation, with a global presence and delivery. For over 30 years, the firm has offered services in strategy, technology and communication, with 1,500 specialists in 18 countries – and partnering with platform providers including Microsoft, IBM, and Stibo.
Birtwistle will lead Nexer’s manufacturing strategy, with responsibility for acquiring new manufacturing customers, expanding relationships with Nexer’s existing manufacturing client base, and ensuring sales activity remains closely aligned with delivery quality and long-term customer outcomes.
He joins Nexer from HSO, where he spent more than seven years advising on complex Microsoft-based ERP and digital transformation programmes for large, highly regulated manufacturing organisations. He brings more than 30 years’ experience working across manufacturing sub-sectors including engineering, chemicals, food and beverage, life sciences and automotive, and has operated within the Microsoft partner ecosystem since the early 2000s. He has also held a senior role at Cognizant, leading enterprise-scale transformation programmes across platforms including Microsoft Dynamics.

Birtwistle arrives shortly after Burden himself. The senior appointment supports Nexer’s continued efforts to support UK manufacturing through digital transformation, as organisations face increasing pressure to improve agility, resilience and operational efficiency while managing rising costs, regulatory requirements and ongoing disruption.
