Joe Barry joins RSM’s partnership in Birmingham office

Audit, tax and consulting firm RSM UK has announced the appointment of Joe Barry in Birmingham. The new restructuring partner will lead the restructuring advisory team in Birmingham.

The Midlands is one of the UK’s largest regional consulting sectors. With the city’s growing financial and technology clusters, the advisory sector is increasingly moving into Birmingham to better support its clients. International accounting and advisory firm Forvis Mazars has taken a lease in a state-of-the-art space at Two Chamberlain Square, in the heart of the Birmingham development. Engineering consultancy Arup revamped its Birmingham presence at the locale. And Big Four rivals Deloitte, EY and PwC have also moved thousands of staff into new offices at One Chamberlain Square over the last six years.

At RSM, Barry will spearhead the growth of the firm’s restructuring advisory services in Birmingham. He will focus on securing larger, more complex restructuring mandates and building on the success of the firm’s national restructuring team.

To oversee that expansion, he joins RSM from Teneo, bringing over 14 years’ experience in restructuring and turnaround. He is an experienced team leader with expertise across a broad range of industries including construction, real estate, retail, automotive and maritime.
