Teneo appoints Richard Williams as senior managing director
CEO advisory firm Teneo has appointed Richard Williams as a senior managing director. He takes on the role in the firm’s financial advisory business, as it looks to expand its dealings across the APAC region.
“Richard brings unparalleled experience at the intersection of technology, investigations and regulatory enforcement,” said Amanda Rigby, global head of forensic and investigations. “His track record in building world-class forensic and discovery capabilities, combined with his deep global expertise, significantly strengthens our ability to support clients facing increasingly complex data, regulatory and litigation challenges.”
Williams joins Teneo from Deloitte, where he spent the last five years working with its London office, to deliver multifaceted and highly sensitive projects in the UK, Europe and the Middle East. Previously, he also spent 13 years in Asia, where he founded the analytics and forensic technology team at Deloitte China – also serving as the global leader of Deloitte Discovery, sitting on the global executive committee for forensic services.
With more than 35 years of experience in investigation, compliance, digital forensics and technology-led discovery, Williams will now focus on expanding Teneo’s forensic investigations, discovery and data analytics capabilities across APAC and global markets. He will work with Rigby and the broader leadership team to deliver technology-driven solutions to clients navigating regulatory, compliance, litigation and crisis-driven matters.

Williams’ appointment is the latest in a long line of connections to Deloitte. In 2021, Teneo acquired the UK restructuring business unit of the Big Four firm.
