Holistic Fire Safety takes on funding from Founders Private Capital

As it looks to fuel its build-and-buy strategy, fire protection provider Holistic Fire Safety has secured a multimillion-pound investment. The deal was advised by professionals from Addleshaw Goddard, Williamson and Croft, Hill Dickinson and Armstrong.

Will Davidson, chief executive and founder of Holistic, said, “In response to the strengthened building safety regulations and increased emphasis on compliance within the social housing sector, we are seeing a growing need for our specialist services. Our customers are also asking us to support them in areas beyond passive fire protection as they work to improve safety and assurance across their estates. FPC will give us the firepower and experience to achieve our ambitions. We look forward to working with Ravi and the team over the coming years.”

Founders Private Capital (FPC) is a collection of entrepreneurs who have successfully scaled and exited their own businesses, raising private equity funding along the way. With £87m to deploy in UK founder-led companies, FPC invests £2m to £20m per transaction, bringing both capital and first-hand experience of growth and scale-up challenges.

Established in 2019, Holistic provides passive fire protection services to social housing organisations and local authorities. With the support of FPC, it now aims to expand its offering to the social housing sector, both in terms of services and geographical presence.

FPC was advised by a team from Hill Dickinson led by David Mkhitarian and James Redshaw with support from Matt Boyer and Rachel Faulconbridge. Meanwhile, vendor-side legal support came from Addleshaw Goddard, led by Richard Hunt, Caera Loughran, Cameron Allwood, Charlotte Bontoft, Sophie Ovenden and Acer Carter with Martin Griffiths advising on tax. Financial and tax advisory services were provided by Williamson and Croft, with Dan Moon leading the team.

Commercial due diligence was delivered by Armstrong, led by Matt McNally. Armstrong leveraged its extensive experience in the fire sector to provide a focused piece of CDD for FPC, with analysis of the market opportunity and likely market growth trajectory alongside detailed customer referencing.
