Bishop Fleming selects Matt Tyler as business development director
Matt Tyler has joined Bishop Fleming as business development director. He will now work to support the audit and advisory firm’s growth strategy in the West Midlands.
Tyler remarked, “I’m thrilled to join Bishop Fleming at such an exciting stage in its journey. The firm’s investment into Birmingham and its people-first culture align perfectly with my personal ambition to help entrepreneurial, family-run businesses across the region to thrive. The opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking team that’s focused on delivering growth across the Midlands is incredibly motivating, and I’m looking forward to contributing to the firm’s expansion and supporting businesses that are the backbone of the regional economy.”
Tyler brings a general practice background and business development experience within mid-tier accountancy firms, having built and led successful commercial departments with a strong focus on growth and client service. Originally from South Staffordshire, he has deep roots across the West Midlands, with established connections throughout Birmingham, the Black Country, Worcester, Solihull, Tamworth, Stafford, and Stoke.
Charles Davey, head of markets, added, “The West Midlands is a key growth market for Bishop Fleming, and Matt’s appointment reflects our commitment to building a strong regional and local presence. His expertise will enable us to strengthen relationships with ambitious businesses and deliver tailored solutions that meet the unique needs of this market. This strategic investment positions us to expand our footprint and create lasting value for clients across Birmingham and the West Midlands.”
Bishop Fleming has now welcomed four senior hires in the Birmingham office in just five months, reinforcing its investment in the UK’s second city, and its commitment to expanding its full-service offering across the region. On course to mirror the scale and success of Bishop Fleming’s Bristol office. The team is growing across audit, tax, and advisory services, with further partner appointments planned to enhance its full-service capabilities for mid-market and entrepreneurial clients.
