Alvarez & Marsal adds Michelle Metz to Disputes & Investigations team

Global consulting firm Alvarez & Marsal has added Michelle Metz to Disputes & Investigations team in London.

Appointed a Managing Director, Michelle Metz joins Alvarez & Marsal from HKA, where she spent 18 years, including seven years as Partner and Leader of the Delay practice in Europe. In this role, she grew the team to over 25 specialists in delay and disruption and led the analysis of reports related to complex and high-profile construction and engineering disputes.

With over 25 years of experience in international arbitration and litigation, Metz is a recognised expert witness. She specializes in delay and disruption analysis for construction and engineering disputes, and has provided expert witness services for arbitral tribunals in Hong Kong, Poland, Zurich, Oslo, and London.

She also provides advice on the preparation of master programmes, associated updates and reviews, the management of time risks and extension of time assessments.

Throughout her career, Metz has collaborated with clients across various sectors, including infrastructure, oil and gas, energy generation and distribution, pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing, rolling stock, and commercial buildings.

Metz earned her higher national diploma in building studies from MidKent College and then gained practical experience as a planning engineer in the construction industry, before moving into consulting.
