His experience spanned a wide range of developments in London, including mixed-use schemes, refurbishment projects, new builds, listed buildings, and complex city centre basements.

In 2009, Ainger relocated to the Middle East, with senior management positions at several high-profile firms, including Scott Wilson, AECOM, WSP and Atkins/Faithful+Gould (now AtkinsRéalis). His notable achievements in the region include the delivery of state buildings in Bahrain, before he returned to the UK in 2020 as director at HDR London. Most recently, he was the director at Ayesa, where he was also London office lead.

Commenting on his new role, Mark Ainger, director of structures, Clancy Consulting London office, added, “This is a great time to be joining Clancy Consulting, a company with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality civil and structural engineering nationwide. London is a thriving, dynamic market that is ripe with opportunity.
