Energy M&A and strategy expert Andy Houston joins LCP Delta
LCP has appointed Andy Houston to lead its strategy and transactions practice for its energy transition consultancy and analytics business. LCP Delta has undergone a number of changes in its upper ranks recently.
LCP Delta is a trading name of Delta Energy & Environment and Lane Clark & Peacock. The partnership of LCP Delta combines the expertise of LCP Energy and Delta-EE to provide a single partner across the whole energy value chain.
As the group looks to push ahead from recent growth, it has committed to various appointments in its leadership. Rajiv Gogna arrived as the head of LCP Delta earlier in the summer of 2025.
On the firm’s growth, Gogna said, “Substantial capital is required to achieve a secure, decarbonised system, and this presents a significant opportunity for investors. However, making investment decisions in the energy transition space is becoming increasingly complex, as assets operate in highly interconnected systems that are exposed to numerous policy and regulatory changes.”
With LCP Delta now being “uniquely placed in offering energy transition investment support across the value chain”, Gogna added he was “delighted to have Andy in place to lead the team”, where his experience will “play a crucial role in furthering the team’s work and helping LCP Delta achieve its mission.”
Houston brings a wealth of knowledge and experience in advising on mergers and acquisitions (M&A) and financing across the energy sector, with over 25 years of experience, including 18 years at AFRY Management Consulting. He led AFRY’s global strategy service line and, most recently, its GB energy market practice, mainly working on transactions.
At LCP Delta, he will lead the strategy and transactions practice to help operators and investors make more informed decisions. LCP Delta leverages proprietary research, forecasts and data to support commercial due diligence and strategic advice and has already supported billions of pounds of investment in the energy transition. Houston’s skills will further LCP Delta’s mission to enable a better, faster transition by supporting clients in investing in and navigating the sector.
Houston added, “LCP Delta holds a strong reputation in the market as independent, detail-oriented experts. I am excited to join the team to support investors in making better decisions that drive more capital into the energy transition and help deliver a more secure, affordable, and decarbonised system.”
In the summer, LCP has announced a record income of £232 million for its latest financial year. The 10% year-on-year increase comes as the firm helps the pension sector with an era of rapid change.
