Tyler Grange opens eighth UK office in Leeds

Environmental consultancy Tyler Grange has celebrated its 15th year in business, with the launch of a new office in Leeds. The hub constitutes the firm’s second locale in the UK – alongside its Manchester headquarters.

Jon Berry, managing director of Tyler Grange, commented, “We’ve long been working with businesses in Leeds and across Yorkshire and, while we are well known here, having a physical presence in the city puts us in an even stronger position, and enables us to work even more effectively and efficiently with architects, housebuilders and developers here. It’s a move that shows how Tyler Grange is actively investing in the region – not only with the new Leeds office, but also in creating jobs as the team here grows.”

Tyler Grange employees over 100 people across its eight-strong UK office network. Over the last 15 years, the firm has worked for client projects worth a combined 56 million, surveying over 1 million trees, specifying more than 2,500 bat boxes, delivering planning permission for in excess of 15,000 new social houses.

The environmental consultancy specialises in arboriculture, ecology and landscape planning, landscape design – a set of services which have become increasingly popular in the North of England particularly. The investment in Leeds supports the growth of B Corp four-day week firm and enables Tyler Grange to work even more closely with planners and developers in the city, and across Yorkshire.

Operating from Greek Street, in the heart of the city centre, the office is led by Landscape and Arboriculture Director Jack Jewell, who also joined the consultancy 15 years ago, at its very beginning. He’s being supported by Tyler Grange People Coordinator Lucie Waldron.

Jewell joined Tyler Grange as a graduate in 2010 and is now an owner and director of the environmental firm. A specialist in Landscape and Visual Impact Assessments and BS5837 Arboricultural Consultancy, he is experienced in establishing new office locations, having led Tyler Grange’s London opening back in 2016. He’s looking forward to shaping similar success and growth in Leeds.

Speaking on the news, Jewell added, “Leeds is a powerhouse city with enormous potential and a thriving development market. I’m delighted to be leading Tyler Grange into what is an exciting new chapter – in terms of national expansion and attracting local and regional talent. The opportunity to build and shape a new team, while supporting clients with the highest-quality advice, is something I’m incredibly passionate about.”
