FRP launches Manchester-based forensic services team
FRP has launched a new forensic services team in Manchester. The practice will be led by Michael Brian as a director.
FRP Advisory is an 800-person advisory business, and regularly ranks as one of the leading players in the UK’s transactions landscape. Its offices include Leeds, Cardiff, Newcastle, Birmingham, Brighton, Bristol, Cambridge, London, Norwich, Reading, and Manchester. As it looks to enhance its offering in the north west of England, it has strengthened one of its burgeoning service lines there.
Complementing FRP Advisory’s existing restructuring advisory and corporate finance practices in the city, the firm is expanding its forensic services capabilities to the region. These will be helmed by Michael Brian, who joins from Big Four firm Deloitte.
Chris Osborne, forensic services partner at FRP, commented, "Michael’s arrival continues our expansion as we look to meet growing demand for forensic services across the UK and internationally. His deep experience, technical expertise and strong relationships make him a valuable addition to the team, and I look forward to working with him as we continue to build out and strengthen our offering."
Brian boasts more than 20 years of experience in forensic accounting, specialising in complex disputes and investigations. He advises a broad range of clients - from legal teams to FTSE100 and FTSE250 corporates and financial institutions - on commercial disputes and contentious valuations. Looking ahead, Brian will work closely with FRP’s 50-plus strong national forensic services team to support the delivery of its full range of forensic services, which include forensic investigations, dispute services, forensic technology and compliance and risk advisory.
Brian, who joins as a director, said, "This is a fantastic opportunity to not only deepen FRP’s forensic services coverage, but to draw on FRP’s closely integrated service lines to deliver complete solutions to clients’ needs. At FRP, the expertise to help is in-house and on-hand - and in Manchester we now have the full range of service lines all under one roof. I’m excited to get started."
With a strong talent pipeline and strong digital and technology, advanced manufacturing, and life sciences sectors, Manchester has been attracting professional firms for some time. Among the arrivals in the last month have been Barnett Waddingham, KR8 Advisory, Opus Advisory and SLR Consulting.
