CubeMatch expands UK business with progressive acquisition of DVCP
Irish change and transformation consultancy CubeMatch has made its second acquisition this year, securing an initial shareholding in the UK-based professional services firm DVCP.
Headquartered in Dublin, CubeMatch is an award-winning consulting firm with a footprint in Ireland, the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Singapore and India. The firm specialises in the delivery of complex programmes and projects in the financial services sector, including many of the largest banks.
The agreement with DVCP sees CubeMatch acquire a stake effective immediately, with a full acquisition planned to be completed by the end of 2026.
Founded in 2020 by Mhairi Kennedy and Tom Saunders – who were joined in 2021 by David Campbell – DVCP specialises in financial services transformation, technology strategy and programme assurance. The firm has a small core team but a large network of over 350 associates.
In 2023, the firm gained recognition for its work on the first solvent wind-down of a UK bank, devising and executing Masthaven Bank’s withdrawal from the UK market. Recent engagements include programme assurance for leading UK building societies and support to another solvent wind-down currently underway in the UK banking sector.
Tom Melville, chief executive officer of CubeMatch, said that the addition of DVCP marks a significant boost to the firm’s UK business. “By bringing together DVCP’s respected team of specialists and our own expertise, we are uniquely positioned to help clients tackle the most complex technology and regulatory challenges in financial services.”

The DVCP tie-up is CubeMatch’s second acquisition in the UK, having acquired the London firm Bishopsgate Financial in 2021. Earlier this year, the company also expanded in the German market with the acquisition of BGK.
Across its footprint, CubeMatch now has a team of over 470 staff. “The UK is a priority market for us. We have plans to expand into the Midlands and Scotland, reinforcing our position as a challenger brand in the sector,” said Melville.
Meanwhile, for DVCP, the joining of forces with the international player will enable its team to boost its capabilities, impact, and growth opportunities, said chief executive Saunders. “Partnering with CubeMatch extends and strengthens the range of services we offer. We are excited that we’ll be able to offer our clients comprehensive support in design and execution of transformations and programme assurance.”
